美剧学英语:miss the boat - 加拿大办公室同事说“you missed the boat”,我赶紧问:我们什么时候坐船了?

我一脸懵:“Why is everyone going to the game?

我马上兴奋:“Can I still get one?

Nah, you missed the boat.”

Missed the boat?

Was there a company boat trip too?

I mean you missed your chance.

“You missed the boat.”

Mike

“Jon, sign up early. Don’t miss the boat this time.”

“Literally.”
