加拿大办公室停车场零下20℃,同事却说自己“in the heat of the moment”……

“I told him he was an idiot, but I said it in the heat of the moment.”
“我说他是个白痴,不过那是在in the heat of the moment的时候说的。”
“You mean… you were hot?”
It’s minus eighteen outside.”
“Maybe because you were angry? Your body temperature went up?”
Mike
“No, no. ‘In the heat of the moment’ means I reacted emotionally without thinking.”
in the heat of the moment,指的是人在争吵、紧张、激动的时候,一时冲动做了什么。
“I didn’t mean it. I said it in the heat of the moment.”
“Trust me, there was absolutely no heat in that moment.”
你们刚看到“in the heat of the moment”时,会不会也先想到“当时太热了”?
