美剧学英语:behind the eight ball - 加拿大办公室团建,同事说“behind the eight ball”,我真跑去看8号球了

“We’re already behind the eight ball on this one.”

“Which ball is ours?”

What?”

“He said we’re behind the eight ball. I’m trying to see where we are.”

“No, no. I mean we’re in a difficult position. The deadline is Monday, and we’re still waiting for the client’s data.”

behind the eight ball

“I’m behind the eight ball.”

“Jon, now you’re REALLY behind the eight ball.”
