美剧学英语:be on the fence - 加拿大同事说“I’m on the fence”,我下意识往院子外面看了一眼……

“So, are you coming on Saturday?”

“I’m still on the fence.”
我还在on the fence。

“Is it safe? Why are you sitting on the fence?”

“…What fence?”

“You said you’re on the fence.”

“Oh! No, I mean I haven’t decided yet.”

原来be on the fence不是“坐在篱笆上”。

“Are you going to move to Toronto?”

“I’m still on the fence.”

“I’m on the fence about it.”

“Jon, should I sit there while I decide what to eat?”
